Retrospective exhibition monograph printed in conjunction with a traveling exhibition of Eikoh Hosoe’s photographs in a number of Japanese Museums. Published on the occasion of the landmark exhibition at the Yamagata Museum of Art Tokyo in 2000. The exhibition then traveled on to seven other Museums throughout Japan between 2000 and 2003. Possibly the single best introduction to the work of Eikoh Hosoe. Essays by various scholars in the Japanese original with English translations. Includes numerous iconic images from “Man And Woman”, “Ba Ra Kei” (“Ordeal By Roses”), “Kamaitachi”, “Hoyo” (“Embrace”), “The Cosmos of Gaudi”, “Luna Rossa” (“Red Moon”), and the little-known “People Concerned With Work”.
