Manifesta 6 the European Biennial of Contemporary Art, will take place in Nicosia, Cyprus for a period of 12 weeks in autumn 2006 during which time the curators will challenge the conventional format of the large-scale exhibition and, alternatively, put forward a proposal for an art school. This is the first instalment of an ongoing research project questioning the existing models for art education and exhibition making and feature articles and conversations from a wide range of contributors.
