Roman Cieslewicz

Roman Cieslewicz (1930-1996) was a Polish photographer and graphic artist, who made quite a name as a designer of posters. His images are as simple as they are striking, and once you´ve seen a few of his posters you will recognize his style immediately. He exhibited in the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam twice, in 1973 and 1978. This little book is the catalogue of the 1973 exhibition. It has only a few pages of text, for the rest it shows Cieslewicz´ photos and graphic designs. His images are very graphic, rather psychedelic and sometimes quite scary. His movie poster designs are still being sold by poster shops all over the world.
