A Perspective on Contemporary Art. Continuity/Transgression

Continuity/ Transgression’ is the fifth exhibition in the series ‘A Perspective on Contemporary Art’, which has been organized since 1984 with an aim to examine trends in the development of contemporary art. Ten artists are invited to this exhibition, and 4 are from Japan. The others are: Candice Breitz (USA.), Roland Flexner (USA.), Roni Horn (USA), Ilya & Emilia Kabakov (USA), Ron Mueck (Australia) and Julian Opie (UK). Biographies (in Japanese only) and interviews with the artists are provided.
