New French Painting

This catalogue was published on the occasion of the 1984 touring exhibition New French Painting. The show provided the first opportunity outside of France to assess in depth the work of the young generation of figurative painters, more than half of whom were aged thirty of less, making their presence so vividly felt at the time in France, but not being acknowledged outside of their native country. The publication contains 12 texts, four by the artists and eight by critics. Produced in an edition of 2000 copies.
