Larry Stark was commissioned in 1970 by the Addison Gallery of American Art at Phillips Academy to travel across North America for one month eating only McDonalds while photographing his journey. This suite of prints is accompanied by a publication of the artist’s diary: “In the merry month of May, Larry crossed the USA, ate McDonalds all the way, tells his story day by day.”
