Marcel Duchamp in 20 photographs

Gianfranco Baruchello took these photographs of Marcel Duchamp on various occasions during the course of a long and intimate friendship. They’re presented neither as criticism nor as works of art and they make no attempt to speculate on the importance of the person they depict. Baruchello and Duchamp were friends and they saw each other from time to time because of their friendship or for reasons connected with it. Photography, here, is one of the ordinary facts of ordinary daily living, a way to remember a date, a place, a moment when people got together.
