The work of Markus Lupertz, one of the central protagonists of the German painting revival of the 1980s, is presented here in an extensive new catalogue that documents over 30 years of the artist’s career with more than 200 illustrations.

Collected here are early paintings by Günther Förg, including a 12-part series of monochromes from 1976 and a 32-part series from 1987, both executed in Förg’s typical lead technique. Accompanying them are reproductions of numerous watercolor and color pencil renderings of architectural spaces.
